Cattle                                                       

All vets are members of the British Cattle Veterinary Association.

This work is very varied but includes, as the main routine dairy work, regular fertility visits. Two ultrasound scanners for PDs and general fertility examinations are available.Ultrasound with cattle rectal probe

Advice available on all aspects of preventative medicine including formation of Farm Assurance Health Plans. Vaccination programme strategy and booster reminders sent out. 

Mastitis investigations involving culture of milk samples and antibiotic sentests are routine procedures.

Newsletters send out on a regular basis.

 

Sheep

Fertility advice including synchronised breeding programmes.

General health programmes including vaccination and worming.

MV / CAE Accreditation schemes.

Scrapie Genotyping.

Horses

Vaccination programmes - booster reminder service.

In-house practice laboratory, under veterinary supervision with a qualified laboratory technician,  carries out a variety of work for all sections of the practice and for large animal work this includes:
