Majority of sample results are from droppings taken during UK racing season.

Stock loft results are included in figures.

Coccidia oocyst range 0 to one case of severe clinical disease at

1,550,000 oocysts/gm.

Interpretation (ex A.S.Wallis Vet Record 1991)

Coccidia <3000 opg is normal; 3000-20,000 opg moderate level - often significant improvement in performance after treatment.

20,000-50,000 opg severe level, improvement in condition and performance after treatment. >50,000 very severe - clinical illness very likely and rapid treatment needed.

55% faced South, 13% faced SE, 8% North, 16% East and 8 % East.

Stocking rates varied from 2.02 birds/sq.m. to 4.06 birds/sq.m.

Mean 3.73 birds / sq.m. (expected 3 birds/sq.m.)
